Do I need to provide my real name?

No, but keep in mind that the name you provide will appear on your Certificate of Completion, which you may wish to use for professional purposes.

Can I delete my account and personal data?

Of course. You can do that from your dashboard. However, this is irreversible and deletes your progress. If you change your mind, you will have to register again and start over. Follow this link for details on Data Protection.

Taking the Course

How do I take the course?

Simply register and confirm the link sent to you by email. The course material is available as downloadable PDF files and inline viewing – this was done out of consideration for users in countries with internet issues. Complete all six modules and the Final Exam to receive your Certificate of Completion. Congratulations!

No. ABAAD, as a non-profit, provides this course free of charge to maximise global access to vital training. If you are able, please consider making a donation to help us cover running costs and keep this essential resource available for everyone.

I have downloaded a module, but cannot find the quiz.

Quizzes appear 24 hours after you download a module. Happy reading!

How many times can I take a quiz?

As often as you need to. However, if you keep running into issues, it might help to revisit the course material before trying again.

Can I use any of the materials in external or professional settings?

Certification

I am interested in obtaining certification around Gender and GBV only, not Case Management. Is this course for me?

Absolutely! We offer two certification options:

Foundations of Gender, Equality, and Gender-Based Violence.” You may choose to complete Module 1 – Sex, Gender, and Equality and Module 2 – Gender-Based Violence, following which this foundational concepts certification will appear on your dashboard. You do not need to proceed with the case management modules.

Gender-Based Violence Case Management in Emergency Settings.” If you complete the entire course covering the foundational concepts and case management modules, you will receive this specialist certification.

What is the reference link on my certificate?

Each certificate is issued with a unique link which allows it to be validated online. The link leads directly to an image file of the certificate, proving that it is original and generated by our system. Your certificate will continue to be available in our database even if you delete your account.

Can I change the name on my certificate?

No. Once you register and provide your name, this is the name in which the certificate will be issued. No modifications can be made at a later stage.
